Well, fuck me gently with a chainsaw!

Not to start an akward obsession online with The Hills or anything, but I realised after publishing my last text that the LA fab crew have a lot of similarities with the dark comedy The Heathers from 1989. They´re young, rich, gorgeous and evil - framed in a surreal scenario with manipulative plots and crushes on mental boys.

( Btw, did you know that the producer actually tried to get film icon Stanley Kubrick to direct the movie?)

The Heathers (picture from photobucket.com) was one of the many to come teenage high school movies (Mean Girls, Bring it On, Clueless etc) to reveal the evil hiararchies girls creates around themselves in school, where through different rules they suppress others to make themselves grow in vailue on the high school stock market. Of course, Veronica aka Winona Ryder as the archetype female rebel starts in collaboration with her nutjob of a boyfriend Christian Slater to kill all the Heathers, which also happens to be her only friends. Dont worry, it all ends well. Veronica gets her heart and sanity back and dumps crazyboy, which blows himself up and order is back in place in high school town.

I wonder what will happen next with the neu Heathers and all their chickdrama and weird boyfriends. I´m just glad that Slater isn´t around with his spooky bombs and mentalproblems.

Omg, I think I saw Lo´s Britney!

After years crawling around in both the lowest gossip magazines and more high brow culture critical, onlines cites and paper issues, displaying her turbulent lifestyle, it´s not difficult to wonder what the idea, the phenomenon Britney Spears is left with at the end of 2007.

Black Out has just been released, which everybody with ears can confirm is one of the best dancealbums this year, but surprisingly all you still hear or read about her, is converastions about her bodyparts or what she´s wearing in court.

Last discovery I made was a couple of nights ago when I watched MTV production The Hills (picture from ev.com) where Lauren, Lo and the rest of the fab crew where partying at a club Las Vegas. Lo wore a short dress and at some point Lauren said; Omg, I think I saw Lo´s Britney! In the background we ironically can hear the Dj playing Gimme More.

So that´s the new reference we dedicate to our drama pop queen or does it just meen that she is still so hot and popular that she is being another word for a vagina? Last time I remember that happened was with Elle "The Body" McPherson, bur thats a boring fotnote. It will be interesting to see if the word sticks or not in this crazy era of glitterpeople.

All that glitters is gold

The title of this blog is inspired by a norwegian artist who one night spraypainted with goldpaint roads in Bergen with the words "All that glitters is gold". It was one of her many to come fullmoon projects, where she every full moon creates new art constellations such as sculptures, relational projects or happenings involving and surronding Bergen city on the west coast of Norway.

This blog will hopefully report on some level about inspiring projects concerning music, art, films, people, life and of course some fun stuff too.
